Financial Analyst III

About the team

The role sits within an Interconnection Business Services team that supports customers and Account Managers throughout the interconnection process. You’ll collaborate with developers from the initial request stage through commercial operation and serve as a highly visible function connecting customer service, project accounting, and risk management within the energy industry.

This position ensures developer deposits, project charges, invoices, and refunds are handled accurately. The analyst completes study true-ups and final accounting reports as projects move forward or developers withdraw. Accurate financial tracking supports customer accounting, project decisions, and risk management. The role provides financial support throughout the full interconnection lifecycle, from the initial request through commercial operation.

Requirements

• Approximately 2–3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and foundational accounting principles
• Experience with reconciliations, invoicing, deposits, refunds, project accounting, or account analysis
• Public accounting experience is a plus; corporate accounting and financial analysis backgrounds are also suitable
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables; Power BI or Power Query experience is preferred
• Comfortable learning complex processes and systems
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Experience with PeopleSoft or PowerPlan is helpful but not required
