Financial Analyst II

King & Spalding is a leading global law firm with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the seamless delivery of legal services. We are seeking a Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s business goals through reporting, modeling, and analyzing financial data.
Responsibilities
- Aid in designing reporting packages and analyses to assess and understand practice group performance.
- Identify and investigate trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Design and maintain reporting processes, and regularly assess delivery methods and identify improvement opportunities.
- Work with the Financial Systems and IT teams on the development and enhancement of reporting tools, including dashboards and other dynamic reporting tools.
- Generate ad hoc financial models and data analysis.
- Prepare, or assist in the preparation, of recurring and special management reports.
- Prepare queries across multiple sources to generate data.
- Manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets or other tools in order to summarize financial reports requested.
- Work closely with other Finance functions, including Pricing, Billing, and Rate Management, on reporting needs and ad hoc requests for financial information and analysis.
- Provide support to other Business Operations teams, including Business Development, Lawyer Talent, and Recruiting, as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of job-related experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.
- Proven ability to synthesize metrics into practical insights and communicate those insights confidently.
- High level of proficiency with Excel and consideration will be given to experience with SQL, PowerBI, and legal financial systems (Aderant or Elite).
Pay
The anticipated full-time annualized salary range is $99,300 - $117,800. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
