Financial Analyst II
About the role
Support the Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business’s modernization portfolio, which includes a variety of construction, sustainment, and retrofit projects. Assist the group and management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects varying in contract types, sizes, and complexities.
Responsibilities
- Interface with program management on assigned projects
- Project setup duties including cost center creation, WBS alignment, and monitoring all program expenditures
- Support month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15
- Prepare monthly contract status reports and coordinate monthly meetings with each PM to review and present program financial data
- Complete monthly account reconciliations
- Monitor and reconcile all costs against project budgets
- Facilitate estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts and identify key drivers of variances vs. plan, and identify risks and opportunities to plan
- Support weekly salient flash updates
- Support internal audit & financial control framework testing
- Prepare and report QBR and IBP salient forecasts and enter forecast data into Hyperion
- Assist with completion of risks and opportunities charts
- Support proposal processes, including basis of estimate development and cash flow analyses
- Support other ad hoc analysis, projects, and/or financial data requests
- Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
- Develop desktop procedures and lead process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related work experience or equivalent experience
- Ability to support Program Finance, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
- MS Office/Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, or MBA
- Experience in Defense/Government Contracting
- Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)
- Experience in Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Experience with Oracle Hyperion
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $61,278 – $104,173. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
