Job Summary

The Financial Analyst I is a key member of the Financial, Planning, & Analysis team focused on the development of the company’s annual operating plan, forecasting, and financial analysis functions.

About the role

  • Leads the development of the company’s annual operating budget for Distribution Centers and Selling, General, & Administrative Expenses.
  • Drives decisions by providing analytical support through forecasting, performance metrics, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Maintains budget performance compared to plan and alerts managers to potential issues.
  • Prepares quarterly forecasts.
  • Aids in the preparation of monthly performance metrics and executive reporting package.
  • Improves existing finance processes to accelerate analysis for proactive identification of business risks and opportunities.
  • Serves as an active member on cross-functional teams providing the analytical support necessary to add value to the business.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or equivalent in education and work experience.

Competencies

  • Expertise in Excel is preferred.
  • Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise 1 JDE and BI cube reporting is a plus.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
