The Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands is looking for a self-motivated and adaptable Financial Analyst I to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Process and manage accounts payable.
  • Maintain files and databases.
  • Responsible for month and year-end processing and closing.
  • Provide backup coverage to payroll.

Requirements

  • Ability to ensure compliance with contract terms, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to use logic to analyze and identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.
  • Skill and ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of principles, theories, and practices of accounting.
  • Knowledge of federal grant management and reporting.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and documentation.
  • Ability to provide consultation and/or expert advice.
  • Skill and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and work closely with various business, IT, and management teams.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in work.

Qualifications

At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or another related subject or at least 5 years of experience in a related field.

  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated (e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations).
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving an automobile.
  • Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.

Pay

$20.64 - $32.70 per hour.
