About the role

Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking a Financial Analyst with healthcare financial or operations experience to support strategic decision-making across our hospital and clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses
  • Support development of annual budgets, departmental forecasts, and long-term plans
  • Analyze operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Evaluate financial impact of service line and operational changes
  • Build financial models for growth initiatives and strategic planning
  • Analyze labor productivity and financial performance trends
  • Utilize data tools (Excel, SQL, BI tools) to extract and analyze financial data
  • Benchmark organizational performance against industry standards
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid requirements
  • Collaborate with operational leaders and departments to improve financial performance

Requirements

  • Healthcare financial or healthcare operations experience
  • Strong understanding of: Healthcare reimbursement, Financial trends and policy changes
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling) required
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
  • Able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Experience in hospital setting preferred but not required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling)
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
  • Able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
