About the role
As a Financial Analyst with Hospital Based Services Field Support, you will ensure the accurate and timely preparation of work papers and analyses to report hospital-based services operations, review performance benchmarks, and assist in business forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Support divisional operations and clinical leadership on physician compensation-related analyses.
- Understand and interpret pay policies and clinician contracts for compensation-related analyses.
- Interface with clinicians on pay questions and issues.
- Support resolution of compensation issues submitted to the MyPay service center.
- Analyze the impact of pay rate changes or compensation plan changes.
- Work closely with physician service support teams on compensation projects.
- Prepare journal entries, projections, and account reconciliations to accurately report and forecast operational performance.
- Prepare monthly reports for corporate data submissions and compile information to evaluate performance in relation to benchmarks.
- Prepare detailed monthly actual-to-budget variance reports to support practice management.
- Assist practice management with financial information requests and questions as needed.
- Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting or financial analyst experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
