About the role
The Financial Analyst General Ledger is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring and managing comprehensive data systems used to perform analysis and research studies as required by Senior Management. They ensure data quality and integrity in these financial and decision support systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Complete monthly variance analysis of revenue and expense accounts, including reconciling balance sheet AR accounts.
- Affords assistance in cash flow management (monitoring daily cash positions, post payments to general ledger, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs).
- Collaborates with finance and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and support organizational goals.
- Assists in various miscellaneous yearly reports.
- Assists in ad hoc projects/reports as required by management.
- Maintains multiple bank accounts to ensure liquidity.
- Participates in the month-end and variance analysis process to ensure financial activities align with historical performance and organizational goals.
- Analyzes financial data to aid in decision support activities.
- Develops financial models to aid in evaluating operational activities or plans.
Requirements
This is not a remote position. This position will report daily to the NCH Business Office in Naples, Florida.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience required; preferably in hospital/healthcare.
- Attention to detail needed.
- Excellent analytical skills needed.
- Knowledge of accounting systems such as EPSI and Monarch.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
