Financial Analyst - FP&A

About the role

Join Select Medical’s Financial Planning & Analysis team and help support the financial performance of hospitals across the country. In this highly visible role, you’ll partner with Finance and operational leaders to drive meaningful impact through analytics, forecasting, and strategic support.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate financial forecasting and reporting to support operational decision-making
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, drive performance, and enhance patient satisfaction
• Support the development and presentation of the annual inpatient capital and operating budgets
• Partner with Directors of Finance and Business Development to prepare pro forma analyses for acquisitions, start-ups, and relocations
• Analyze consolidated financial statements
• Support our joint venture partners through the preparation of quarterly board reports and strategic financial analysis
• Test and review finance systems implementations and enhancements
• Deliver complex ad hoc analyses for hospital leadership, including evaluating the impact of regulatory changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
• 3-5 years of progressive business or financial analysis/reporting experience
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry is helpful but not required
• Working knowledge of ORACLE G/L, OneStream including Quickview Add On, and Strategy or similar database repository tool is helpful but not required
