About the role

As a key member of the External Reporting team, you will help with financial reporting, period close processes, and budgeting and forecasting. You'll support and drive various business projects and objectives, ensuring the development and adherence to internal control policies and procedures. Your contributions will be vital in achieving the organization's financial goals and maintaining robust financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing team deliverables, including both external and internal financial reports, and manage activities related to the period close process.
  • Prepare Journal Entries: Using strong accounting skills and data analysis techniques, prepare journal entries to ensure financial reporting aligns with GAAP and company policies.
  • Reconcile and Analyze Accounts: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account activity for compliance with GAAP and company policies. Analyze P&L activity to identify the root causes of variances to budget/forecast and highlight trends, communicating findings to the Senior Financial Analyst.
  • Perform Ad Hoc Analyses: Complete ad hoc analyses, including data extraction and manipulation, as requested, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years in accounting, finance, or auditing (internship experience acceptable)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

You’ll go the extra mile if you have:

  • Master’s degree or MBA, or CPA certification
  • Experience in PeopleSoft/Oracle financial systems
