About the Role

Raytheon, part of RTX (the world's largest aerospace and defense company), is seeking an entry-level (P1) Finance Program Cost Controls Analyst. This role supports a portfolio of programs within the Program Controls discipline in the LADS SBU and Product Support (MA&S) business area. The position offers exposure to real-world business tools, including the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, Annual Operating Plan preparation using the Business Planning (Rplan) system, and software such as SAP/APEX and Business Warehouse. This is a hybrid role based in El Segundo, CA, with no relocation assistance provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support for programs from startup (proposal support and costing) through mature phases (Inter-Organizational Transfer processing, baselining, budget creation, sales forecasting, and cost control/analysis).
  • Engage in challenging assignments to build a foundation for career and personal development in Finance and Business.
  • Gain exposure to various Finance and Business functions, including Program Cost and Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Budgets and Planning.
  • Utilize business software (e.g., SAP/APEX, Business Warehouse) for financial reporting, including program funding profiles, bookings, sales and earnings forecasts, billing projections, and variance analysis.
  • Work as part of a fast-paced finance team where multitasking and initiative are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related business field.
  • Less than 2 years of relevant experience in a finance role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint).
  • U.S. citizenship (required for access to financial management systems due to government contractual requirements).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $62,900 – $119,700 USD. The final offer considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
