We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join a financial services team in Stamford, Connecticut on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is eager to build hands-on experience across fund operations, financial reporting, and analytical support while working in a collaborative hybrid environment. The role offers broad exposure to mutual fund oversight, budgeting activities, regulatory review, and board reporting, making it an excellent fit for someone who communicates effectively, stays organized, and adapts quickly to changing priorities. Responsibilities: • Support daily analytical and operational activities tied to mutual fund custody, treasury functions, and product oversight. • Compare security valuations to independent reference sources, with particular attention to fixed income instruments and derivative holdings, and summarize findings for pricing governance discussions. • Assist with oversight of custodian relationships, including helping coordinate the setup of custody accounts and related documentation. • Examine shareholder and regulatory reporting materials, such as annual and semiannual reports and prospectus-related filings, to help ensure accuracy and completeness. • Contribute to the preparation, tracking, and review of fund expense budgets while helping monitor payment activity. • Prepare and maintain reports and presentation materials for the Board of Trustees, subadvisors, and internal leadership. • Partner with the Director and broader team on fund events such as launches, reorganizations, closures, proxy activity, and share class updates. • Help monitor fund programs and identify items requiring follow-up, escalation, or additional analysis. • Work across multiple priorities in a hybrid setting, collaborating on site in Stamford, Connecticut Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday. • 0-2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, investment operations, or a related analytical field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to organize data, perform analysis, and support reporting needs. • Strong data analysis skills and a high level of accuracy when working with financial information. • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to different audiences. • Adaptable approach with the willingness to manage varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. • Detail-oriented work style and interpersonal skills that support strong team collaboration and alignment with the team environment. • Ability to complete a required skills assessment with a score of 70% or higher. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
