Financial Analyst - Entry Level

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Analyst – Entry Level to support finance operations for advertising clients in New York, NY. This long‑term contract focuses on accurate billing, reporting, and reconciliation across multiple accounts while partnering with cross‑functional teams to keep daily financial processes on track.

Responsibilities

• Support recurring billing activities by preparing draft invoices, reviewing documentation, and updating tracking records to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
• Investigate unbilled activity, follow up on outstanding items, and help move transactions through to final billing completion.
• Partner with accounting, shared services, and campaign execution teams to reconcile financial records and resolve invoice or affidavit differences.
• Combine information from multiple systems and data sources to create reports that support financial review and business decision‑making.
• Maintain organized records for billing support materials, including invoice back‑up and related documentation.
• Respond to operational requests and contribute to special projects as business needs arise.
• Review account discrepancies, identify root causes, and assist with corrective actions to improve financial accuracy.
• Use spreadsheet tools to analyze billing details, summarize findings, and monitor account activity trends.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to producing accurate work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Analytical mindset with experience reviewing large data sets and identifying exceptions or inconsistencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Ability to work efficiently in a deadline‑driven environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Exposure to billing, reconciliations, or finance operations in a work setting.
• Familiarity with media‑industry platforms such as MediaOcean or similar tools (preferred).
• Knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, and discrepancy‑resolution processes (a plus).
