About the role

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive financial analysis while developing and maintaining business forecasting models.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, conduct variance analysis, and leverage market trends to guide strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with the sales, pricing, DPO, and accounting team and provide financial guidance to support the good agreement making process.
  • Evaluate investments and concession requests through financial modeling and risk assessment, providing recommendations to optimize resources and maximize ROI.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the subregion leadership team, translating financial data into actionable business insights to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with programming (e.g., SQL).

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in spend management and budget planning cycles.
  • Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry, different roles and incentives.
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Great leadership and people skills, ability to set objectives and drive to results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries.
  • Analytical and technical skills (e.g., spreadsheets/ SQL/ dashboard creation).
  • Exceptional communication and people-management skills; comfort and experience with regularly presenting to executive management.

Benefits

Google offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $116,000 - $167,000 (USD) plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
