Financial Analyst (Chicago)

About the role

Bixby Research and Analytics is seeking a Financial Analyst based out of our Chicago office. Bixby provides essential information for the leveraged loan market and is a key player in the credit market.

Responsibilities

• Support senior research staff to maintain real-time coverage across a broad universe of companies.
• Create and maintain detailed financial models with the ability to process reconciliations, restatements, and acquisitions.
• Review company documents to identify news, financial, and non-financial data in real time.
• Prepare and review own work product to ensure accuracy and completeness in a time-sensitive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2-5 years of accounting and/or finance experience required.
• Comprehensive understanding of cash flows and financial statements.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience working in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Highest level of integrity to handle sensitive business information confidentially.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or pursuing Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification preferred.
• Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm, investment bank, investment management, or leveraged lending industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of credit, particularly leveraged loans and high-yield bonds.

Schedule

Three days a week in-office required based on your line of business and location.

Pay

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $65,000 and $75,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
