About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial modeling, investment analysis, underwriting, and strategic initiatives across a variety of real estate development projects. This role is ideal for an analytical professional with strong financial modeling skills who is eager to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Experience in real estate or construction is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex financial models and perform detailed financial analysis for large-scale real estate development projects.
  • Prepare presentations and financial reports for investors, lenders, management, and other project stakeholders.
  • Model investment fund waterfalls and promote structures for real estate transactions.
  • Build and maintain financial models that support strategic business decisions.
  • Aid with underwriting investment funds and equity partnerships.
  • Support acquisitions and strategic initiatives through financial analysis and project management.
  • Gather market research, industry trends, and competitive intelligence from internal and external sources.
  • Support public financing initiatives, including Opportunity Zone Funds, Management Districts, Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs), Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZ), and sales tax agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to collect information, evaluate opportunities, and communicate key financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in accounting coursework.
  • One or more years of experience in financial analysis, real estate analysis, commercial real estate development, acquisitions, or underwriting.
  • Experience in real estate, private equity, or investment banking is preferred.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel, including macros and advanced functions.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, investment return metrics, and quantitative modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and familiarity with Argus software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work independently.
