About the role
We are currently seeking a Finance Analyst. This role will assist plant managers, supervisors, and employees with understanding financial objectives, performance, and their role in ensuring cost-effective plant performance. The Analyst will also collaborate with the Plant General Manager to prepare monthly reports, develop budgets, and manage financial activities.
Responsibilities
- Aids in making cost-effective workload decisions during daily operations.
- Analyzes new workloads, reviews pricing quotes, and optimizes the workload mix.
- Engages in detailed analysis of plant performance, focusing on job cost, inventory management, and valuation.
- Maintains GAAP accuracy of financial statements and collaborates with the Corporate, Segment, or COE Aerostructures Controllers to ensure compliance with SOX documentation.
- Assists various corporate departments to resolve plant-related issues and prepares audit responses as necessary.
- Performs quarterly and year-end plant-specific accounting work and maintains detailed records for developing or updating unit costs.
- Monitors activity related to plant fixed assets and coordinates necessary approvals and transactions related to disposals or transfers.
- Prepares and interprets financial data reports in logical formats and communicates operational performance via financial information to both financial and non-financial management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing techniques is highly desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various financial accounting management software such as AS400 and inventory software.
- Ability to produce, read, and interpret various financial reports, specifications, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to write reports, business correspondence, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- The ability to perform accounting and financial calculations and projections.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This role is full-time and requires flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
