About the role

Kearfott Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Black Mountain, NC. The ideal candidate will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify variances.
  • Conduct profitability, cost-benefit, and trend analyses to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather financial data and provide analytical support.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, operational metrics, and business performance to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, technology, or other relevant industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools preferred.
