Job Summary
The Financial Analyst 2-Hospital serves as a member of the Hospital Finance Team, providing financial services to hospital administration and management. This role involves contributing to productivity, budgeting, capital planning, and financial analysis. The analyst advises management on relevant financial management aspects, reviews and analyzes financial data, identifies and eliminates budget variances, and implements financial improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the analyst collaborates with the Financial Planning and Analysis department to deliver comprehensive, coordinated financial services to support operational leaders.

As part of the Hospital Finance Team, the Financial Analyst 2-Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting hospital administration and management through financial analysis and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to productivity, budgeting, capital planning, and financial analysis
- Advises management on relevant financial management aspects
- Reviews and analyzes financial data
- Identifies and eliminates budget variances
- Implements financial improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborates with the Financial Planning and Analysis department to deliver comprehensive, coordinated financial services to support operational leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree or financial relevant certification preferred
- Minimum three years financial analysis or related experience required, or completion of LLUH Management Residency Program; healthcare experience preferred
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of complex business principles, especially as it relates to healthcare operations, finance, and economics
- Able to interface with varying levels of organizational stakeholders, present to groups, and teach finance principles and concepts
- Able to read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality, use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Able to operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Able to cultivate positive, favorable working relationships with the various organizational stakeholders
- Knowledge of leadership principles, including process improvement leadership, project management, and group facilitation
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction
- Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position
