About the role
The successful candidate will provide direct assistance and support services to staff and students in-person, virtually, and phone. The primary responsibilities of this position include assisting students and families with financial aid options and processing federal, state, and institutional financial aid applications and files in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist students and families with financial aid options
- Process federal, state, and institutional financial aid applications and files
- Provide support services to staff and students in-person, virtually, and phone
- May be required to assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and analytically, exercise discretion and good judgment
- Ability to handle complex and detail-oriented workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
Qualifications
- Experience in a post-secondary education, preferably in a community college financial aid office setting
- Bilingual in Spanish
