About the role

The Service Advisor is a licensed financial professional who supports the advisory team in delivering financial planning and investment advice. This role involves direct client interaction to implement advisor-directed strategies, prepare financial plans, and provide ongoing service. While not fully owning client relationships or new business development, the role operates with independent judgment and applies specialized financial knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial plans in collaboration with lead advisors.
  • Implement investment strategies and process account transactions as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for existing clients for service-related needs.
  • Analyze client data to identify financial planning opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of client requests.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in CRM and financial planning systems.
  • Stay current with industry regulations, market trends, and product knowledge.
  • Support advisors in client retention and satisfaction initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Active Series 65 license, Series 66 license, CFP designation, CFA designation, ChFC designation, or CIC designation required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts, investments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Demonstrated oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn firm technologies.
