About the role
The Financial Advisor Manager (FAM) is responsible for the direct management of a team of Financial Advisors. Key objectives include hiring, on-boarding, and supervising the day-to-day activities and performance of the FAs in an assigned market/territory.
Responsibilities
- Hiring, on-boarding, and managing a team of Financial Advisors
- Coaching and mentoring Financial Advisors
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Increasing Mass Affluent product sales productivity and referral productivity through active coaching and planning
- Developing strong relationships with Wealth, TD Bank Retail, and other business partners
- Executing high impact activities and ongoing sales/product training
- Leading implementation of marketing programs
- Assessing the performance of Financial Advisors within the assigned region/territory
- Supporting business development campaigns
- Providing leadership and retaining a highly competent, customer service-oriented team
- Managing expenditures and preparing financial statements and reports
- Leading the assessment of the performance of Financial Advisors within the assigned region/territory
- Participating in community and business development activities
- Delivering financial plan proposals and ensuring revenue growth within the assigned territory
- Directly accountable for achieving Mass Affluent revenue and Wealth/brokerage referral goals
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7 - 10+ years related experience
Licenses or Registrations (or ability to obtain within Licensing & Registration Schedule):
- Life/Health, Series 65, 7 and 24
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven managerial skills
- Previous sales/leadership experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail and effective project management skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated experience performing complex financial, statistical, and budgetary analyses, preferably in the banking industry
- Ability to travel within assigned Market; about 75% of time
