About the Program
The Financial Advisor Development Program at MassMutual Pittsburgh equips you with the necessary skills and resources to succeed. You will receive guidance through the LAH licensing process, structured hands-on training, mentorship from senior advisors, and a clear path to building your own practice.
What You’ll Receive
- Licensing & Education Support: We guide you through the LAH licensing process and provide training for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams.
- Structured, Hands-On Training: Develop real-world skills in financial planning, client relationship management, prospecting, product knowledge, compliance, and business planning.
- Mentorship & Joint Work with Senior Advisors: Work alongside experienced advisors on real client cases to gain confidence, insight, and practical experience.
- A Clear Path to Building Your Own Practice: Grow your own book of business with ongoing coaching, marketing support, and leadership guidance.
What You’ll Do
- Build and grow your own client base
- Learn clients’ goals and design personalized financial strategies
- Educate clients on financial solutions and guide them through key decisions
- Implement and monitor financial plans as clients’ lives evolve
- Commit to ongoing professional development to stay ahead in the industry

Desired Qualifications
- PA Life Accident and Health License or ability to obtain license in the first 3 months
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Proficiency in using financial planning tools and software
- Familiarity with financial regulations and industry's best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
Nice-to-Haves
- SIE, FINRA 7 and 66, or ability to obtain them in the first 6 months
- CFP, CFA, or related professional designation
- Experience with CRM systems
- Strong network within the Pittsburgh community
- Experience in a customer-facing role in insurance and investment services
- Passionate about making a significant impact in a client’s financial journey, with a focus on building and managing long-term client relationships
