This position is required to work on-site in our Chicagoland (Glenview, IL) office most days, with 3 flexible remote days per month and half-day Fridays every Friday.

Responsibilities

• Third Party Administrator (TPA) accounting – responsible for the direct and reinsurance accounting and reporting for multiple TPAs across several lines of business.
• Treaty/contract review - ensure all accounting and regulatory items are correctly implemented and followed with various reinsurance treaties.
• Mortgage Investment Accounting – record entries, prepare financial reports, and settle activity for all mortgage investments.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvements, including system enhancements and automation.
• Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform financial statement analysis as part of the monthly close.
• Preparation and analysis of schedules for Annual/Quarterly Statements and audits.
• Partner and collaborate with other departments (IT, Actuarial, Legal).
• Special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance major preferred.
• 2-3 years of insurance accounting experience.
• Strong Microsoft skills – Word, Excel, Access.
• Experience with ERP systems for accounting – PeopleSoft experience a plus.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $53,000 - $80,000. The range reflects potential pay for the job grade at the time of posting and will depend on factors such as specific competencies, relevant education and experience, qualifications, and industry certifications. Ranges are subject to change.
