The Finance Accountant plays an important role in maintaining the financial health of the organization through a broad range of accounting responsibilities. This position supports the organization's financial operations and community-focused mission as part of a regional council of governments working to strengthen economic development, housing, transportation, planning, and public services throughout Eastern Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• Financial reporting and general ledger maintenance
• Grant tracking and compliance
• Budget support and financial analysis
• Audit preparation and coordination
• Monthly and annual financial close activities
