Financial Accountant

About the role

Bay Business Group is a successful and people-focused accounting firm located in Falls Church, VA. We specialize in serving small businesses and non-profit organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are currently growing and are actively seeking new financial accountants to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Auxiliary with budgeting and forecasting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Auxiliary with client projects
• Auxiliary with year-end close and tax filings as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years Accounting and bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
• Experience managing multiple clients
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work during normal business hours to support our clients

This is a remote position.

Pay

Base compensation is $65,000 to $75,000, with an additional incentive that can increase compensation to $80,000+ after 6-12 months.
