Financial Accountant - 8 hrs/day (Fiscal Services)

About the role

Located in Fiscal Services, develops, prepares, and participates in maintaining a complete set of financial records. Participates in and may oversee processing complex accounting transactions, preparing adjustments to sub-ledgers and ledgers, and oversees and performs reconciliation, reporting, and auditing of general ledger financial information. Prepares accurate and timely financial and statistical reporting from District-wide and program-based accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops, prepares, and maintains financial records.
• Participates in and may oversee processing of complex accounting transactions.
• Prepares adjustments to sub-ledgers and ledgers.
• Oversees and performs reconciliation, reporting, and auditing of general ledger financial information.
• Prepares accurate and timely financial and statistical reporting from District-wide and program-based accounting systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or accounting.
• Two years of experience in a responsible accounting/auditing capacity.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Required documents: resume, proof of high school completion (HS Diploma or GED), associate's or higher education.

Pay

Salary range: $35.64 – $47.11 per hour, with 9 annual steps. Salary placement based on relevant experience.

Schedule

• 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
• Full‑time, 12‑month work year.
