About the role

The Finance Technology Proximity Senior Manager will act as the Technology Proximity partner for Finance functions in North America. This role will optimize and deliver Finance technology solutions across financial close, reconciliation and controls, consolidation, planning and forecasting, and internal and external reporting, including statutory and group reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and deliver Finance technology solutions across financial close, reconciliation and controls, consolidation, planning and forecasting, and internal and external reporting, including statutory and group reporting.
  • Bridge Finance business needs and Global Technology delivery, ensuring scalable, compliant, and value-driven solutions aligned with Finance and Global Tech strategies.
  • Capture and analyze global and local Finance business requirements, identifying opportunities for standardization, simplification, automation, and improved reporting quality.
  • Partner with Finance, FP&A, Controlling, Accounting, and Reporting teams to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and demand.
  • Support Finance solutions across EPM, consolidation, planning, and reporting platforms, including Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Smart View, Tagetik, Anaplan, SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards, and Power BI.
  • Manage demand intake and prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners, aligned to business value and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) with Finance stakeholders.
  • Support deployment, change management, training, and adoption, ensuring business readiness and sustainable usage.
  • Define, monitor, and contribute to value realization, including reporting accuracy, process efficiency, control effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective communication with Finance leadership, Global Tech teams, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting Finance technology, EPM, planning, consolidation, or reporting solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end system implementation roles, covering requirements definition, solution design, testing, deployment, and business adoption for Finance platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT product management or product ownership in Agile environments, including backlog management, feature prioritization, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong functional experience with Finance consolidation, planning, and reporting solutions, including EPM platforms (such as Oracle Hyperion Planning/Essbase, Tagetik, and Anaplan), ERP Finance systems (including SAP S/4HANA and JD Edwards), and BI and analytics tools such as Power BI and Cognos.
  • Solid understanding of financial close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, management and statutory reporting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Pay

The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $152,800.00 to $191,000.00. The range may vary if the role is outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule with flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week.
