Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts, providing guidance on daily activities and fostering strong collaboration across Finance, Accounting, Business Units, IT, and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for issues involving financial systems, SAP interactions, data validity, and reconciliation, directing team involvement and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain proficiency in the technical functions of all platforms to support the team during absences or high-volume periods.
  • Authorize, validate, and oversee all commission, rebate, and other contractual payments within and outside of SAP, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and proper execution of obligations.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to best practices in both automated and manual calculations.
  • Review and approve summary reports, statements, and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Oversee the maintenance, validation, and accuracy of variable incentive compensation and rebate system modules, rules, and agreements. Regularly validate system functionality and calculations across all platforms to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and oversee account reconciliation requirements between financial systems and financial reporting.
  • Ensure Business Intelligence reporting accuracy and completeness through thorough reconciliation against transactional data.
  • Guide analysis of large, complex datasets and the development of dashboards that deliver actionable business insights.
  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and validate testing plans, ensuring complete and accurate documentation of results.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business/Economics required
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

  • Possesses expert skills and know-how related to applicable functions within the department.
  • Acts as the extension of the manager with limited direction or needed instruction.
  • Supervises and works alongside employees in pursuit of achievement of goals set by Manager.
  • Trains and mentors both direct reports and more junior employees, supporting development and career goals.
  • Make decisions within assigned framework to support departmental goals and responsibilities.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for team members and exercises discretion regarding escalation to manager.
  • Performs and oversees the provision of technical or detailed work.
  • Represents the department as deputy of the Manager.
  • Responsible for workload, performance, and performance evaluations of direct reports.
