Finance Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Lead

Overview EB’s Finance Digital Transformation Office (DTO) is growing its team that supports our Oracle EBS R12 financial modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Projects, Billing, and Tax Books) as we continue our Digital Transformation journey. Our use of Oracle EBS includes some critical custom software modifications as well as native Oracle processes. This role will collaborate with our IT Software Engineers and Finance/Accounting personnel to support the development and implementation of procedures to populate, source, and accurately manage Electric Boat’s Accounting, Asset, and Tax information within the Oracle Finance modules and to improve the systems’ functionality and ease of use. For this role, we are searching for mid-career or advanced candidates that have significant experience working within Oracle EBS, preferably in highly regulated industries and/or in Project Accounting, but most importantly with a willingness and eagerness to learn. Tasks Include Serving as liaison between IT and Accounting personnel for enhancements and fixes to the Fixed Assets, Tax, and some Accounting modules in OracleSupporting the proper recording of financial informationIdentify relevant process improvement opportunities and assist in the execution of themExecuting and distributing routine reports to usersSQL Querying financial information out of Oracle Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related Accounting, Financial/Economics, Mathematics, or IT/Computer Science field5+ years of related experience supporting an Oracle ERPExperience supporting financial and/or accounting functionsExperience using PS SQL (Code writing / Database querying)Familiarity with the software development cycle process Preferred 5+ years experience with Oracle EBS Financial ModulesFamiliarity with Oracle Project AccountingExperience working for a Government Contractor or in DefenseExperience working in a SOX-controlled financial environmentKnowledge of EB’s business systems, particularly the Finance Oracle and Mainframe systems Skills Oracle EBS Processes and StructuresPS SQL (Code writing / Database querying)Ability to gather and analyze data to resolve business system issuesMicrosoft Office ProductsAbility to build relationships across departments and managementAttention to detailEffective communication with technical data issuesAbility to work both independently or as a member of a teamWillingness and eagerness to learn
