Finance Operator, Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Operator, Business Partner advises CEOs, Heads of Growth, and executive leadership on consequential financial decisions, owns the financial narrative, validates the analytical layer, and handles the full financial surface area across multiple high-growth companies.

Responsibilities

• Advise operators on their most consequential financial decisions
• Sit with CEOs on unit economics, cash flow, runway, and growth investment
• Ask questions they have not thought to ask
• Pressure-test assumptions before they become commitments
• Own the financial narrative
• Understand and communicate actuals against plan at a driver level
• Provide forward-looking commentary grounded in what the business is actually doing with intellectual honesty over optimism
• Validate the analytical layer
• Handle the full financial surface area
• For any given company, there are valuations, tax considerations, SPV distributions, inter-company billing, and funding proposals
• A finance person first
• You can read a P&L, understand unit economics, and know when a number is wrong
• Built for a multi-company environment
• No passengers

Requirements

You have 6-10 years of FP&A, startup finance, or multi-company work.

• You have advised founders or operators directly.
• Driver-based modelling is your default.
• You are comfortable holding financial context across multiple companies simultaneously.
• You learn fast, build systems rather than just doing the work.
• You have worked across a portfolio, PE-backed roll-up, or multi-entity environment.
• You have built financial reporting infrastructure from scratch, not just inherited it.
• You have enough accounting literacy to QA a close without running it yourself.
• You have experience with modern FP&A platforms.

Qualifications

This is not the right role if:

• You prefer a defined lane and predictable scope.
• You need all the information before making a decision.
• You think a polished output is the same as a verified one.
• You have only ever served one company at a time and struggled with context-switching.
• You are looking for a mature, fully systematized finance function to step into.

Pay

Compensation Range: $150K - $170K

Schedule

Full-time and will need to overlap with US ET for the majority of the workday.
