About the role
The Finance Manager serves as the senior financial leader for the Turf business, providing end-to-end financial leadership while acting as a trusted partner to operational and divisional leaders. This role blends strategic insight with hands-on execution, owning financial planning, reporting, costing, and core accounting operations to drive strong business performance. As a key member of the leadership team, the Finance Manager influences decision-making, develops talent, and continuously improves finance processes and systems to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering accountability, strong controls, and professional growth.
- Serve as the primary financial partner to functional leaders, providing insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control standards.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes across revenue, manufacturing costs, and SG&A.
- Analyze sales performance, pricing, mix, volume, and margins to drive actionable business insights.
- Manage product and project costing, partnering with operations to improve data accuracy and decision-making.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Sales & Use Tax processes.
- Support productivity initiatives, capital ROI evaluations, and cost-reduction efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, reporting, and process automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, including manufacturing accounting.
- 7+ years of ERP systems experience.
- Prior people management or supervisory experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
- Strong forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling experience.
