Finance Manager - Revenue Cycle
Job Summary
Manages the daily operation of revenue operations in accordance with Devereux policy. Leads the utilization review process, month-end revenue verification process, and serves as the liaison between Finance and the Corporate team managing the Electronic Health Record’s financial functions. Supports the Executive Director and Fiscal Director in maintaining financial accountability, and provides insight to drive financial performance and sustainability.
Professional Skills
- Fiscal Management - Leads full revenue cycle (contracts, billing, collections). Partners with EHR and AR teams to streamline processes, track rates, and drive financial performance.
- Project Management - Manages revenue-focused projects (rate reviews, payer mix). Drives improvements in key metrics like denials, clean claims, and collections.
- Regulatory & Professional Practice - Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations (licensing, CARF, payers). Maintains audit readiness and implements corrective actions.
- Revenue Reporting & Analysis - Oversees revenue accuracy and month-end close. Tracks performance metrics (AR, denials, collections) and provides insights for planning and reviews.
- Compliance - Maintains required training and ensures adherence to nonprofit billing practices, including grant and sliding fee programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience: At least five years position-related experience.
- Skills: Must have experience with computer based financial systems. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
- Physical Requirements: Continuously requires sitting. Seldom requires walking, standing, and stooping/bending (0 - 1/4 of the workday). Seldom requires lifting 5- 20 pounds. Continuous use of office equipment often requiring repetitive wrist/hand movement, and vision (3/4 – 4/4 of the work day ). Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate with co-workers and stakeholders in person and via telephone. Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances. Seldom drives a Devereux vehicle or van (0-1/4 of the workday). Continuously works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature.
