About The Role

The Operations Finance Manager at Aramark is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position involves leading and directing all aspects of financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, labor and inventory controls, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and credit and collections. The role requires supervising and developing the finance and administrative staff, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous process improvement. The Operations Finance Manager will work closely with regional finance leadership and operational teams to support organizational initiatives, conduct financial reviews, and ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and team supervision
  • Prior experience in a Controller, Finance Manager, or similar operational finance role in a market center or comparable environment
  • Strong operational finance expertise across accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll, and inventory management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in Excel (mandatory); experience with Oracle or other financial systems preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with operational teams
  • Track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies
  • Proven history of career progression into roles with increasing responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and organize accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Oversee all financial activities at the location, including accounts payable, receivable, credit and collections, payroll, inventory, and expenses
  • Manage the month-end close process ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls, including SOX compliance where applicable
  • Supervise and develop finance and office staff through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Maintain high standards of internal and external customer service, ensuring billing accuracy, contractual compliance, and timely collection of receivables
  • Collaborate with operational leadership to support financial reviews, operational initiatives, and issue resolution
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase operational effectiveness, leveraging standardization and automation
  • Maintain effective financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, participating in internal and external audits
  • Prepare and present financial insights and reports for leadership decision-making
  • Support HR functions such as hiring paperwork, payroll processing, and compliance documentation related to workers' compensation and disability
  • Proactively resolve financial issues and escalate unresolved concerns to leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet organizational needs
