Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to be the trusted finance partner supporting finance transformation initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Use operations finance knowledge and business acumen to build transformation roadmaps and strategy with limited guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to create and challenge business requirements for new processes and products.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to business leaders to support organizational decision making.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations.
  • Own the reporting for transformation initiatives, tracking measures of success and reporting risks and opportunities to leadership.
  • Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
  • Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable.
  • Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues.
  • Create effective business partnerships with Finance Leaders, Operations Stakeholders, Program and Product Managers, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 6+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 6+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
