Finance Manager, North American Customer Fulfillment

About the role

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to serve as a trusted finance partner supporting finance transformation initiatives. The role involves working with the most complex retail networks in the world, managing billions of deliveries annually, and overseeing nearly doubled fulfillment networks over the past two years.

Responsibilities

• Build transformation roadmaps and strategies with limited guidance, drawing conclusions and making recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and challenge business requirements for new processes and products.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to business leaders to support organizational decision-making.
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations.
• Own the reporting for transformation initiatives, tracking measures of success and reporting risks and opportunities to leadership.
• Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
• Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable.
• Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues.
• Create effective business partnerships with Finance Leaders, Operations Stakeholders, Program and Product Managers, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 6+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 6+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
