About the role

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to be the trusted finance partner in the ARS (Amazon Robotics Sortable) Network. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR, and Technology, playing a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner.

The ARS Finance team supports a rapidly expanding business while building a connected network of fulfillment centers, delivery stations, sort centers, vans, box trucks, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time—often next day, sometimes faster. This is a unique opportunity to be a leader and key business partner overseeing a vast network of fulfillment centers, coordinating initiatives across multiple organizations and stakeholders with high visibility to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Retail, and Strategy Teams to drive optimization, efficiency, and insights across the US ARS Network.
  • Design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
  • Influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment.
  • Collaborate with executives and various business units across Amazon.
  • Prioritize impactful projects and programs that will drive the ARS Fulfillment business segment forward.
  • Build financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
  • Create process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
  • Dissect financial data and identify patterns that support business strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
  • Solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Deliver forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpret data results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or equivalent quantitative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges with financial models, analysis, and recommendations that impact business outcomes (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Pay

  • USA, NY, New York: $104,900.00 - $179,500.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Irving: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
