Finance Manager, Grocery Fulfillment

Key job responsibilities

  • Investment Economics
    • Own financial modeling for program investments across the Perishable network — cost, savings, timeline
    • Build financial glidepaths with year-over-year milestones tied to deployment phases
    • Quantify savings entitlements — translate investments into hours saved, headcount avoided, P&L impact
    • Track CAPEX actuals vs. CAR approval; support the CAR process with models and white papers
    • Push back when business cases don't hold up
  • Process Standup & Financial Integrity
    • Stand up tracking frameworks, reporting cadences, and analytical tools from scratch
    • Partner with Grocery FCs, Grocery DCs, Tech, and Finance and Accounting to ensure costs are flowing correctly and financial outcomes match expectations
    • Own the cadence of tracking, escalation, and course correction
    • Feed savings and cost inputs into OP1/OP2 planning cycles
  • Business Partnership & Influence
    • Serve as the finance partner to program teams — embedded in their rhythm of business
    • Surface financial trade-offs program teams may not see
    • Influence investment prioritization by providing clear, comparable economics across competing opportunities

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
    • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
    • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
    • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
    • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
    • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
    • 6+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
    • 6+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
    • Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
    • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
    • MBA, or CPA
    • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
    • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
    • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

    Pay

    Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

    • USA, NY, New York - $104,900.00 - $179,500.00 USD annually
    • USA, TN, Nashville - $85,900.00 - $146,900.00 USD annually
    • USA, TX, Dallas - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
    • USA, VA, Arlington - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
    • USA, WA, Seattle - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
