About the role
Amazon Pharmacy is transforming health care, making medications more accessible with greater price transparency. We are early in our journey to build a digital-forward, customer-centric pharmacy, with significant opportunity for growth. Our FP&A team owns end-to-end financial planning, reporting, and strategic support for senior leadership.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead Pharmacy Finance through critical planning cycles
- Drive end-to-end execution of OP1/OP2, quarterly guidance, and Long Range Planning (LRP), including cross-functional coordination, timeline management, narrative development, and senior leadership deliverables
- Surface financial insights that influence strategic decision-making at the VP level with full P&L exposure
- Earn trust across finance, tech, and business teams
- Own planning cycles in high-ambiguity environments
- Deliver high-quality executive materials under tight timelines with strong judgment
- Design and deploy AI-powered automation for recurring processes (forecasting, reporting, close) while maintaining controllership standards
- Apply prompt engineering to accelerate variance analysis, scenario modeling, and executive narrative drafting
- Build and validate AI-driven forecasts with shadow testing and clear human-override frameworks
- Identify and scale AI use cases across the FP&A value chain
- Develop reusable AI tooling and agents for team-wide adoption
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
Preferred qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience implementing AI solutions in a finance or FP&A context (financial modeling, variance analysis, forecasting automation, narrative generation, or process automation)
Pay
- USA, MA, Boston: 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually
