About the role

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as principal financial advisor to Cloud Foundation and Data Analytics VPs/GMs, aligning portfolio outcomes, commercial objectives, and risk profiles.
  • Oversee financial consolidation and performance evaluation for Data Cloud, translating complex metrics into executive narratives and recommendations.
  • Architect pricing, profitability, and business attribution models for agentic AI capabilities to deliver in-depth ROI analysis and maximize margins.
  • Drive compute and storage forecasting, serving as the lead liaison to align infrastructure cost dynamics and investment decisions.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional projects to maintain financial discipline and a unified strategy for multi-cloud pricing and commercial agreements structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in a quantitative or business field.
  • Deep experience in the technology/cloud sector, with specific knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), or B2B SaaS economics.
  • Expertise in capacity finance, infrastructure costs, and resource allocation models.
  • Background in pricing strategy, commercial agreements structuring, and ROI modeling for AI/Emerging Tech.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical and financial data into compelling narratives for executive consumption.
  • Ability to drive results in a highly matrixed, changing, and ambiguous environment.

Pay

US: $171000 - $247000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
