Finance Manager, AWS Search, Security, and Observability (SSO) Finance

Description

AWS is seeking a Finance Manager to join the AWS Search, Security, and Observability (SSO) Finance team. Key responsibilities include:

• Taking the lead in financial planning
• Building complex financial models and analytical tools for measuring overall financial performance
• Owning the services end-to-end for revenue creation and influencing business decisions
• Detecting and addressing inefficiencies through process improvements and automation
• Collaborating with finance, business, and sales teams to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements
• Removing roadblocks and increasing the reliability and efficiency of reporting

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of applying KPIs to analyses
• 5+ years of creating financial and operational reports/data sets
• 5+ years of process improvement with automation and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root cause identification, and creating/implementing escalation plans
• 6+ years of delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Experience interpreting financial results
