Manager, Finance Operations, AWS

AWS FinOps supports global customers by ensuring their experience with AWS meets their business needs. We help with complex account and billing related inquiries, and interface with AWS teams to provide the Voice of the Customer. As an AWS FinOps Manager, you will support commercial customers to identify and resolve billing issues, collect on past due balances, post cash, and report on your team's performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Responsibilities

• Understand the AWS billing processes to provide guidance to customers, identify defects, and drive resolutions upstream of Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Manage a portfolio of customer receivables and work to maximize AWS cash flow by solving customer payment issues.
• Prepare insightful and actionable reports for the receivables management team.
• Perform full-cycle accounts receivable management for past due balances, including research, analysis, and reconciliation.
• Manage and resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate receivables.
• Handle internal and external accounts receivable inquiries.
• Maintain customer relationships by responding timely and accurately to both internal and external questions and requests for information.
• Directly interact with a wide variety of commercial accounts, building strong relationships and understanding the procure-to-pay cycles of customers.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and processes with internal support teams (continuous improvement cycle).
• Perform deep-dive analysis for AWS customer contacts to gather lessons learned and create or improve policies, procedures, and best practice reference materials.
• Work with customer support peers globally to ensure consistent and high-quality support.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer for AWS top-tier customers and Sales Teams, reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement.
• Actively seek solutions to customer and sales needs, communicate trends to leadership, and suggest innovative solutions.
• Understand the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle and help the team meet or exceed monthly collections and cash applications goals.
• Create and update standard operating procedures needed for successfully running the business.
• Own metrics, report on performance, produce root cause analysis, and establish tenets to improve month-over-month performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.).
• 3+ years of direct management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CPA.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on ad-hoc analyses for strategic decision-making.
• Accounts Receivables (AR) experience or demonstrated understanding of core AR concepts, including aging analysis, bad debt reserves, and accounting treatment of receivables.

Pay

USA, VA, Arlington - $139,100.00 - $188,200.00 USD annually.
