About the role
The finance team for AMPS (AWS Marketplace and Partner Services) is seeking a Finance Manager to support the AWS Marketplace. AWS Marketplace is a critical channel for partners worldwide to acquire new customers and increase profitability in the cloud, and it is central to our Partner strategy. This role involves working with key business partners to drive thoughtful planning, analysis, decision support, and controllership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product and Engineering organization on key projects that influence and drive the business, including feature launches, market expansion opportunities, infrastructure optimization, and new revenue-generating businesses.
- Analyze proposals, make analytical judgments, and provide data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.
- Create, enhance, and maintain financial models, develop business insights, and conduct ad hoc analyses.
- Create and improve management reporting, focusing on automation and AI utilization.
- Collaborate across service teams to support integrations and new economic models.
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business.
- 5+ years of experience in financial modeling, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Pay
Base salary range: $104,900.00 - $179,500.00 USD annually
