About the role
We are seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role on our AWS Global Sales Planning & Compensation (SPC) Finance team. The role focuses on ensuring sales revenue and quota are equitable to sales reps, driving strategic outcomes for AWS, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead Revenue Forecasting & Planning
- New Financial Insights & Models
- Enhance Existing Financial Reporting
- Present Ad Hoc Business Analysis and Recommendations to Senior Management
- Recommend Improvements and Provide Scoping Documents for System Enhancements
- Peak Around Corners to Ensure Sales Teams Are the Most Efficient and Effective in the World
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy
- Experience with Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- MBA, or CMA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
- Experience working with other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
