Finance Manager, AWS EC2 Core Finance

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations.
• Build financial models for new business concepts, make analytical judgments, and deliver data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.
• Present financial summary and business insights to the business and finance leadership.
• Develop and standardize financial reporting packages.
• Drive continuous improvements in profitability, free cash flow, and operational efficiency.
• Address financial deliverables such as Weekly Business Review, Monthly Financial Reviews, Operating Plans, and pricing/discounts.
• Drive the business to find efficiencies to grow profit.
• Manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables across a matrixed organization.
• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders using strong business partnership skills.

About The Team

This role will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Engineers, and GMs, to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CMA.
• 6+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
• Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards), or experience using Oracle.
• Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem-solving, or experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

USA, WA, Seattle - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually.
