Finance Manager, AWS Containers & Serveless Compute
About the role
AWS Finance seeks a world class Finance Manager to be a key leader supporting AWS Serveless Compute business. This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including product managers, engineering leaders, sales and business development leadership, and internal AWS teams to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership.
Responsibilities
- Build out and enhance P&L models, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses.
- Support new business initiatives/products/feature launches; understand cost models and drive pricing decisions.
- Provide revenue deep analytics and communicate effectively to senior business team leaders.
- Take the lead in financial planning and analysis; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance, including short and long range financial/operational forecasts, and communicate results to senior management.
- Manage financial controllership, lead reviews of financial metrics, analyze variances, synthesize key business drivers, and communicate them to senior management in business terms and influence them through presenting actionable drivers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
Schedule
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
