About the role
The Finance Manager supports the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department and plays an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger adjustments.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review month-end accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Hyatt policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Process Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding, timely approvals, and compliance with Hyatt policies and procedures.
- Process Accounts Receivable invoices and billing transactions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable aging reports, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
- Support the Income Audit process by reviewing daily revenue reporting and investigating variances.
- Analyze financial results, investigate account variances, and prepare supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with Hyatt policies, internal controls, and GAAP.
- Afford support the Income Audit process by reviewing daily revenue reporting and investigating variances.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, accounts payable, income audit, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $84,000 annually. This is an hourly manager level role and will be paid an hourly rate based on a 45 hour work week.
Schedule
This is the range for this position that Andaz San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
