Finance Manager, Amazon Air
About the role
Amazon Global Air (AIR) is a worldwide, customer-obsessed transportation provider of choice that safely delivers low cost, high quality service. This role will be part of a highly visible team in charge of optimizing the Amazon Air network. You will partner with business leaders on specific projects that you will help drive from inception to delivery. Regular collaboration with business leaders will provide an opportunity to exhibit your verbal and written communication skills.
A typical day in this role involves partnering with business leaders to analyze real-world problems, create meaningful business reporting, and build and maintain financial models to measure overall financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Controllership over flight cost, forecasting flight cost, and partnering with business leaders to design an efficient network that optimizes Amazon Air’s flight schedule.
- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build planning models, improve forecasting methodology in line with changing business needs.
- Interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations at a worldwide level that delivers results, drives improvements, and influences leaders in Amazon Air and Air Finance.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience.
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

USA, WA, Bellevue - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually.
