Finance Leader
About the role
The Klinge Corporation Finance team is seeking a Finance Leader to join our dynamic and innovative team. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Finance Leader will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial support and guidance to the Leadership team to drive overall business performance and profitability.
- Own and collaborate on actionable business and operational plans while providing financial insight.
- Perform complex financial analysis, including variance analysis, scenario planning, and modeling.
- Lead discussions to present findings to the Leadership team, clarifying drivers and business impacts.
- Prepare and review performance via Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
- Provide detailed business updates throughout the organization.
- Evaluate capital asset purchases and operating expenses by developing detailed ROI, ROIC and CROIC models and business cases for new investments, business enhancements, rental fleet expansion, and rental depot or plant footprint optimization.
- Lead the business forecasting processes, including Long Range Plan (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and quarterly reforecast cycles.
- Prepare and maintain dashboard reporting, KPIs.
- Facilitate weekly pulses and monthly Risks & Opportunities (R&O) reviews.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional strategic project teams to implement business initiatives, such as process improvement/automation, expansion plans, and new product offerings.
- Quantify long-term financial impacts and ensure alignment with company strategy.
- Serve as the finance liaison with AAC on accounting entries, reconciliations, and compliance, ensuring accurate communication and transparent impact to the business.
- Develop and maintain budgeting, financial planning, control, accounting, and reporting policies and practices.
- Establish and oversee cash management activities, including appropriate Treasury policies and procedures.
- Work with the Vice President of Finance to identify and implement strategic tax planning objectives.
- Participate in the strategic and operational governance processes and establish clear governance as it relates to the financial reporting and auditing processes.
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP (and IFRS, as needed) and applicable federal, state, local and country regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Oversee SOX compliance for the Klinge Corporation, including controls documentation, testing, and remediation as needed.
- Design and implement tools for financial selling, such as pricing models and customer value analytics, supporting the sales team in maximizing profitability, including support to incentive structures.
- Hold each team member accountable for positive and negative variances from the financial plan for their area of responsibility. Initiate corrective actions to reverse unfavorable variances.
- Drive office and financial process efficiency using Lean tools (e.g., value stream analysis), validating business benefits and supporting approval of productivity projects.
- Establish and enhance processes for financial accounting, order management, credit/collections and accounts payable that best leverage the resources of the Klinge Corporation and shared services resources.
- Collaborate with peer finance leaders to benchmark best practices, troubleshoot business developments, and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with the ERP Manager in the areas of cost/efficiency reporting in support of improved efficiencies in company operations, guarantee alignment and proper local support of the IT service operations team and with the Supply Chain Manager on Inventory review and Purchasing improvements to drive the planned profit.
- Represent the Klinge Corporation professionally in the community and industry associations, enhancing company reputation and networking for strategic opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related discipline; with strong preference for MBA and CPAMinimum 5-7 years’ experience in FP&A or business finance role, ideally with exposure to both manufacturing and commercial environments.
- Proven track record of working independently and managing multiple projects or deliverables simultaneously.
- Effective process execution, leading teams and collaborating across functions and cultures to achieve team success.
- Strong analytical and economic modeling abilities, including proficiency with financial forecasting, variance analysis, and ROI, ROIC and CROIC modeling.
- Advanced problem-solving capability, detail orientation, and sensitivity to tight time frames.
- Strong influencing and presentation skills; confident in leading financial reviews and communicating recommendations to senior leadership.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; adept at translating financial information for non-financial audiences.
- Skilled at managing complex projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines, often in a fast-paced environment.
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative; exhibits professionalism, high ethical standards, and positive leadership.
- Familiarity with EPICOR, Oracle R12, OneStream consolidation strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong competency in creating financial models.
- Data visualization familiarity utilizing Tableau and Dataiku is encouraged.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of risk management practices and processes.
- Broad understanding of compliance with country-specific laws and regulations, statutory requirements and GAAP and IFRS.
- Understanding of main drivers of economic performance and markets, economic strategy, and economic forecasting and modeling.
- Knowledge of tax and most effective corporate tax structures.

Thermo King’s Klinge Corporation team is hiring a Finance Leader in York, PA! The schedule is Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.
