The Finance summer internship program prepares you to succeed in our 3‑year Associate Finance Development Program (AFDP) after graduation. Working with mentors, you’ll be exposed to business‑line finance, commercial finance, corporate financial planning and analysis, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc financial reporting and in‑depth customer or product analysis.
• Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and outlooks, and resource‑planning analysis.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support implementation with the team.
• Generate business presentations for senior Finance management, including a final showcase presentation.
• Perform industry analyses to develop operational best practices and update internal documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in a business‑related field, planning to graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Prior internship experience in financial analysis or a related area.
• Available to work in a hybrid format from the Akamai Cambridge HQ.
• Self‑starter, excited about working in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced environment.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Schedule

The 12‑week summer internship starts in May and requires 40 hours per week through mid‑August. The role is a hybrid position based at Akamai’s Cambridge headquarters.
